Position BASED in Barcelona
As a Finance Trainee at MEDSIR, you will play a supportive role in maintaining financial records, assisting with financial reporting, and learning the various functions within the finance department.
You will report to Finance Director.
🎯 HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
Financial Record Keeping: Assist with maintaining and updating financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Invoice Processing: Support the processing of vendor invoices and employee expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures. Assist in preparing invoices for clients as needed.
General Ledger Entries: Learn to prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, including accruals, adjustments, and month-end closing entries, with guidance from the finance team.
R&D Support: Provide administrative assistance for R&D tasks as assigned.
Audit Support: Assist in gathering necessary documentation and providing support during financial audits.
Compliance: Familiarize yourself with relevant tax regulations, financial standards, and company policies, ensuring adherence under the guidance of mentors.
Financial Analysis: Contribute to financial analysis and prepare ad-hoc reports to support management decisions, with ample oversight and learning opportunities.
Process Improvement: Observe and identify areas for process improvement within the finance department and suggest enhancements under supervision.
Track project progress to ensure proper income–expense correlation, margin evolution, and compliance with the approved financial framework.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of accruals and reconciliation of project-related accounts.
💪WHAT DO WE VALUE FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY?
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP software (Business Central) is a plus.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
