🤓 ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Site Engagement Specialist plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and refining patient recruitment strategies for clinical trials. By collaborating closely with site staff, investigators, and internal teams, the SES ensures that enrollment targets are met within established timelines. This position demands a solid understanding of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and regulatory requirements, as well as a focus on patient-centric approaches to enhance recruitment quality and efficiency.
🚀 HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
· Develop and Implement Patient Recruitment Plans: Formulate customized recruitment plans based on trial objectives, patient profiles, and site capabilities. Regularly refine these plans using metrics and stakeholder feedback to ensure enrolment goals remain achievable and aligned with overall trial strategies.
· Site and Investigator Engagement: Establish and maintain ongoing communication channels with Principal Investigators (PIs), Sub-Investigators (Sub-Is), and site coordinators. Provide tools, resources, and best practices tailored to each site’s unique environment, focusing on strengthening site-level ownership of recruitment goals.
· Stakeholder Identification and Collaboration: Identify and engage community organizations, advocacy groups, and healthcare networks that can support trial awareness and patient outreach. Work closely with internal teams—such as medical affairs and marketing—to leverage educational materials, events, and digital platforms that highlight trial opportunities.
· Patient Recruitment Oversight: Monitor recruitment activities across sites, analyzing patient enrollment trends in real time. Ensure that any corrective actions are promptly executed to maintain momentum.
· Performance Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze recruitment metrics—such as screen-failure rates, referral sources, and enrollment ratios—to identify trends and potential areas of improvement. Provide regular updates to management, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommended solutions to optimize recruitment outcomes.
· Site-Level Recruitment Optimization: Collaborate with investigators and study teams to share best practices, enhance site engagement, and implement process improvements. Offer guidance on pre-screening methods, patient education materials, and innovative communication strategies to boost patient interest and retention.
· Leadership in Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a unifying force among site personnel and internal teams, fostering collaboration and alignment on recruitment objectives. Organize and moderate roundtable discussions or workshops, where stakeholders can exchange insights on patient outreach methods and address hurdles collectively.
· Addressing Recruitment Barriers: Diagnose and resolve site-specific challenges—such as protocol complexity, logistical constraints, or limited patient pools—by proposing tailored action plans.
· Milestone Tracking and Proactive Issue Resolution: Set clear enrollment milestones and report on progress to key stakeholders. Identify potential risks to recruitment timelines, escalating them as necessary and recommending solutions that maintain study progress while protecting data integrity and patient safety.
· Training and Knowledge Sharing: Develop and deliver engaging training sessions to equip site staff with effective patient engagement and retention strategies. Continuously review training content to ensure compliance with evolving regulations, best practices, and feedback from recently concluded or ongoing trials.
